One of the most challenging parts of design are the constraints that inevitably come along with each project. One of the best parts of being a designer, however, is being able to see such “problems” as opportunities, and offer unique solutions that are also sensible. This project exercises one’s ability to design within constraints–exploring the possibilities for a native planting design in a 10’x10′ planter box located on the University of Michigan’s Central Campus. I can’t think of a more restricting space, can you?!
